Rush Limbaugh was interviewed on William Shatner's "Raw Nerve" on A&E. In this clip of the show, Shatner asked Rush what is a conservative? Rush said that conservatives believe in the principles that founded this country, individual liberty and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Conservatives believe the individual is best left with the freedom to pursue the aspects of daily life. Shatner and Rush discussed the current healthcare debate in that context. If you're like me, you may have been wondering why William Shatner would be interested in interviewing Rush and why Rush would agree to appear on his show. Shatner and Rush have something in common - tinnitus - a ringing, hissing, or buzzing in the ear that replaces normal sound. Rush discussed how quickly he was going deaf and how scared he was that he would lose his radio career. For a month before his operation he could literally not hear himself speak while he was broadcasting.
